Planting job vacancies

Advertisement for Supervisor

Before the planting season in spring 2023, we need to strengthen our organization with several supervisors for planting. The position may also be extended into the autumn, in which case it will be by agreement. Examples of areas and locations where you may be stationed include Örebro, Dalarna, Västmanland, Uppland, Sörmland, and Hudiksvall.

Planting

Job responsibilities

The work involves being responsible for and leading two groups of planters, each typically consisting of 5-6 people. You will spend the majority of your working time in the field, but you will also perform some administrative tasks. These mainly include planning the tasks of your planting groups and reporting on the work done, with the support and guidance of our production managers.

The position largely consists of being on-site in the field and ensuring that the work is carried out according to the customer’s directives and instructions. You are responsible for plant care, follow-up, and reporting of completed work, as well as ensuring that the planters have the necessary information to perform their tasks and checking that the work is executed safely and professionally.

Your duties include maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the customer about the work and its conditions, staying constantly updated on the status of your planters, and ensuring that quality and production requirements are met.

Qualifications

The work requires strong planning and organizational skills. The position also demands the ability to communicate frequently with our customers and to gauge the mood of the planting team. Our planters are primarily from Romania and do not understand Swedish. Therefore, good knowledge of English is required, along with very good proficiency of Swedish.

Skills in reading a map and navigating clearings, as well as being prepared to assist the planting team by driving seedlings or packaging with a car and trailer if necessary, are also part of the daily responsibilities.

  • Experience in forestry work and/or team management is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal skills are important
  • B driving license is required

Time-limited full-time employment with a probable start date approximately April 3, 2013, until April 11, 2023, and an end date approximately June 30, 2023 to July 7, 2023.

If work becomes available during the autumn, it will be around August 15, 2023, or a little later, and is likely to end sometime in October, depending on the location in the country.
